"The Pet Wellness Clinic is, by far, the best veterinary clinic my animals have ever visited.  I live in Los Angeles  but spend part of the year at my second home in Fort Collins.  My animals travel with me each year, and since I have found Dr. Brenda,  Dr. Mike and Dr. Mary, the first thing I do upon arriving in Fort Collins each summer is make appointments for wellness check ups for each of my pets. Believe me, the level of care is vastly superior to anything I have encountered in Los Angeles at what are touted as the very best veterinary facilities and if anything were to go seriously wrong for one of my pets, I keep my fingers crossed that it would happen here.
 
Pet Wellness carries its name for a reason.  The goal of the practice is to keep family pets in top condition by maintaining good health through regular check ups,  dental exams and cleaning when necessary, weight management and dietary counseling, all the things a pet's human should be aware of.  The combination of Dr. Brenda's orientation toward complimentary practice and Dr. Mike's orientation toward traditional practice has offered my pets the best care possible. The clinic is not large but its equipment is top notch.  Dr. Mike was operating with a laser long before the large clinic I use in Los Angeles offered that option. The staff members of the clinic are unfailingly friendly and helpful. Calls are returned promptly, questions answered directly, and every effort is made to accomodate emergencies. Staff members call to remind clients of appointments and whenever a patient undergoes any kind of procedure,  there are follow-up calls to check on the progress of the patient. Clients are sincerely encouraged to call Pet Wellness with any questions that they might have.

Sadly, I recently lost my dog to lymphoma.  While he was undergoing chemotherapy at CSU Veterinary Hospital, I had an opportunity to see how well Pet Wellness worked with the oncology department of the hospital.  On a number of occasions,  Pet Wellness felt it necessary to prescribe additional routine medications for related conditions but they always advised me to check with the oncologists before administering the medications.  On more than one occasion, the oncologist  seeing my dog after Pet Wellness had prescribed medication told me that my regular vet had made a good call and that I was fortunate to have found such a good general practice. On the day my dog succumbed to his disease, I brought him to Pet Wellness and within minutes blood tests were being run on up to date equipment,  and Dr. Brenda was on the line with the oncologists from CSU while Dr. Mike was tending to my dog . At a terrible time, my dog could not have received better care.  The entire staff was genuinely concerned about my well-being as well, and there were follow-up calls on several occasions after my dog's death. 

My only complaint about Pet Wellness is that they don't have a second office in Los Angeles!  Still, I have found that they are only a phone call away."
